Sometimes, you may find your HONOR watch or band cannot last as expected. The battery life of any wearable device could be affected by many factors, such as waking up the screen frequently, monitoring heart rate and receiving notifications, all of which would increase power consumption. If you want to extend the battery life, try the following tips.
01
Disable Raise to Wake on Your Device
When you are exercising, hiking, or traveling on a bumpy road, the screen is easily woken up, which will increase power consumption. Go to the device page of Petal Health App*, click Device Settings, and turn off Raise to Wake
02
Turn off the Monitoring Functionality When Not in Use
Monitoring heart rate, sleep etc. are power consuming functions. You are recommended to turn off such monitoring functions when not needed. Tap Health Monitoring in Petal Health App*, choose Continuous heart rate monitoring or TruSleep™, turn off the monitoring functions you don't need. Feel free to turn them on whenever you need.
03
Reduce Notifications
Frequent notifications are a huge battery drain on wearable devices. You can enter the device page in the Petal Health App* and disable the notifications of apps less frequently used in Notifications menu.
04
Use a Less Bright Watch Face
Some bright watch faces may lead to relatively higher power consumption. To extend battery life, you can choose a less bright option in the watch face store.
05
Temporarily Disconnect from Bluetooth Earbuds
The Bluetooth earbuds connection will increase power consumption, so when the power of your wearable device is low, please use your phone to connect the Bluetooth earbuds. Try to avoid talking or listening to music via your watch or band for too long for maximum battery efficiency.
In addition to turning off features not frequently used, good charging habits will help extend the battery life.
06 Use the Original Charging Device
Please use the original charging adapter and cable to preserve the battery life of your smartwatch/smartband for as long as possible.
07 Charge the Device Timely
Too much battery discharge will accelerate battery drain. Instead of charging the device when its power is low, you could charge anytime if possible.
08 Remember to Charge the Unused Device Regularly
If you want to store the wearable device away for a long period of time, it would be better to fully charge your device periodically. If the battery hasn't been charged for a prolonged period, it will result in abnormal battery habits or will unable to hold charge.
09 Place the Device at an Appropriate Temperature
Please avoid your device being long exposed to extremely cold, heat temperatures or large temperature differences so as to protect the battery.
Use the tips above to extend the battery life of your wearable devices.
