Wrong password, please try again in 30 seconds.
The error message usually occurs when you forget your lock screen password. Don't panic. Check if you are running into one of these three conditions.
Case 1
Check whether the password has been changed
It is recommended that you confirm whether your family or any friend has changed the password.
Case 2
Check whether PrivateSpace has been enabled
You need to enter the corresponding password to unlock your phone if you set different passwords for MainSpace and PrivateSpace.
Case 3
Check whether Multi-user mode has been enabled
If you have logged in to a sub-user account, you cannot use the owner password to unlock the lock screen. Touch the profile pictures to switch back to the owner account and try unlocking again.
If your password has not been changed, PrivateSpace and Multi-used mode are disabled,do not rush multiple login attempts, in case your phone will be locked.
Avoid repeated failed password attempts
After you enter a wrong password, you have 5 attempts to unlock the phone. If all passwords are incorrect, the phone will display a message of "Please try again in 1 minute" or "Please try again in 30 seconds";
Then you can try 3 times. The phone will lock you out again if all attempts fail. The lockout time will be lengthened as you try more, 1 minute, 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 1.5 hours, and so on.
(The lockout time will vary according to the unlocking method and phone model, please refer to the actual condition.)
Restore to factory settings
If you still can't remember your password, you will have to restore your device to its factory settings.
* All data on your phone will be erased and cannot be restored by doing so.
Instructions:
1. Power off your phone. Press and hold the Power and Volume up buttons until your phone displays the HONOR logo.
2. Press the Volume up and down buttons or touch the screen to select Clear data > Factory data reset, then enter "yes" to confirm.
3. After your device is restored to its factory settings, it will go back to the Recovery screen. Touch Restart to restart your device.
* If the activation screen is displayed after restarting your device, it indicates that you have enabled Find Device. You can access the system by entering your HONOR ID and password.
If you can restore your phone and the problem persists, take your device and proof of purchase to an HONOR Authorized Service Center for assistance.
