Q: The device claims to be water-resistant.
Can I put it in the water to test this?
A: This is not recommended. This product is not a professional water-resistant device, and the water-resistance is not permanently effective. If the device is damaged by water or other liquids due to improper usage, it is not covered by the warranty.
Q: The device fell into the water.
What should I do after retrieving it from the water?
Q: The device fell into the water.
What should I do after retrieving it from the water?
A: Please dry all covers and other water-stained areas immediately, and place the device in a well-ventilated dry area; you can also put the device in front of a fan so that the cool air blows directly against the charging port and speakers, which will help speed up the drying process. Do not use external heat sources such as hair dryers, microwave ovens and other drying equipment, and do not insert foreign objects such as cotton swabs or paper towels into the charging port and speakers as these actions may damage the device. If your device does not function properly thereafter, please bring it to any HONOR Authorized Service Center for servicing as soon as possible.
Q: The device is stained with oil,
can I rinse it under the faucet?
Q: The device is stained with oil,
can I rinse it under the faucet?
A: This is not recommended. Water flushing will put your device at risk of liquid damage due to water pressure, angle or extended flushing. We recommend cleaning it with a soft cloth instead.
Q: Why is there a risk of water ingress
since it's advertised to be waterproof?
Q: Why is there a risk of water ingress
since it's advertised to be waterproof?
A: A device that supports IP67 or IP68 is not professionally waterproof, but splash-proof and water-resistant. Mobile phones have reached the waterproof and dustproof level of IEC 60529 when they leave the factory, but they are not permanently effective. Bumps, squeezes, drops, etc., in daily life may weaken the splash-proof and water-resistant capabilities of your phone, so we recommend that you still avoid contact with water as much as possible during normal usage.
